I think instead of morning sickness, this is hitting me more as evening sickness. Or evening stomach ache. Not really nausea, just a heavy uncomfortable feeling. Another question to put on the list for the appt this week!
So, due to my not feeling very good at all, we haven't done much recently. Melia and I did make banana choc chip muffins this afternoon, using a different recipe than I normally use. The results reminded me of why I love the mayo (I use sour cream) recipe. The muffins are just so moist, whereas these are just... normal. So, scrapping this recipe will be on my list of to-dos tomorrow :-)
And I experienced a good reason to help explain to some of you who wonder why I force Melia to take naps most of the time, even though she's four. Today was a no-nap day. This evening, we went to Gramps house for dinner with Mom. I got so frustrated! It was like she didn't comprehend what I was saying. Several times I would tell her something, only to have her immediately return to what she was doing and pay me no mind. She *looked* like she was listening, but most certainly was not. And the big difference? Normally, she does very well. I appreciate her help, and she enjoys listening and pleasing me. Most of the time we get along great. But she had to have a couple time outs tonight, and one time I just stopped them from failing to do what I told them to do, and did it myself. (This was effective, I think, because they both wanted to do it, and were not working together. Like I said-I think. We'll see.) Anyway, one example of why she needs her nap. Plus, because limiting her sleep only makes her wake up earlier, not later....! And I'll take as late as I can get! ;-)

Yea, I think it is actually prego sickness
Not necessarily morning sickness, but definitely the upset, achy stomach. It just seems to come and go, never *very* bad, but enough to make me not want to do anything. (No shopping tonight Brooke, just wasn't gonna happen... Maybe tomorrow--hopefully everything isn't gone!)
At least my first appointment is Friday, so it'll become a little more real.

Fun Poll - let's see what you know!
Or how well you know kids in general :-)
And these are for real- I didn't include candy because they aren't given free access to it, otherwise it would probably win!

Apple Peel Jelly: Very pretty in the jars! Tastes good, not a whole lot like apples, but it's jelly nonetheless. When I spread it on, well... let's just picture a stranded jellyfish on the beach. Yep, that's pretty much what I am spreading on my biscuit... Glad I don't have too many prego hang ups yet!
Apple Butter: Tasted good, but had a slightly scorched aftertaste. I think that because it cooks down, and then you add more applesauce, the sauce left on the side of the pot caused this. Oh well. 7 quarts of applesauce down the drain.
Pumpkin Puree: Not bad. Not too much work, and pretty easy to bag and freeze. One pumpkin done, four to go.
Pumpkin Butter: (Because mom likes it, I tried it!) Good! Surprisingly good :-)
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds: Yummy :-) reminds me of popcorn. Kiera was stuffing them in by the handful....
Dried Apples: ...are we done yet?.....

The Faith of a Child, and Expectations of a Daddy
Gabe and the cousins, brothers, uncles, and dads :-) have been hunting this weekend. Shaun was the first AllMightyHunter to take a "biggest one I've ever been around" (per my grandpa B) four point on opening day. (Yea Shaun!) No one else has taken anything, yet.
Tonight, Gramps asked Melia if Daddy doesn't get a deer, will she ask Uncle Shaun for some deer meat? (Because she really really likes venison.)
Her reply?
No, because Daddy will kill a deer.
Of course he will. That's what Daddy does when he goes hunting. Kill a deer.
And yes, she has seen Bambi....

Special Things From Today
Kiera is putting words together into sentences. She actually has been for a while, but now I am more able to understand what she is saying.
Tonight we had dinner with my mom's family, and the girls especially love my cousins Chelsea and Celeste. On the way home, both girls started to break down because "they were going to miss them" and "we love them very much." I asked them not to cry, and that we would see them again. Kiera did great, so good in fact that as Melia continued to whimper, she said, "No cry, Momma says." Isn't that great? I was thrilled :-)
We have started praying all together in Kiera's room before bed (instead of seperately), but tonight Melia said she wanted to pray again when I was tucking her in. I asked if she forgot something, she said yes, so we folded our hands and closed our eyes, and I told her to go ahead. "Please help Mommy's tummy to feel better, and please help her be better in the morning." *insert big smiley face* what a rush, having my little four year old pray for me :-)
And, for those of you closer to me, praying with us, my cousin Amy who had a biopsy Wednesday, found out today that it is negative for cancer! Yea God! Thank you Lord, and please Bless the rest of her journey!
