So... I know this is kinda my fault for having assumptions... and it might just work out all fine. But I am kinda stressing about it because I thought I was home free.
Because I do not work 25 hours a week, I do not qualify for FMLA. Because of this, I do not qualify to take extra time off work besides my "post-partum" 6 weeks. The problem was I forgot about this whole FMLA thing because with Kiera, we had a different manager, and he let me take a total of 3 months, as long as I used up my vacation. This time, it's currently looking like I can have my 6 weeks, then 4 additional weeks to use up my vacation, so 2 1/2 months.
I am bummed and all because of what I forgot, and I was planning on having 4 1/2 months- all the way through the summer. The way it is now would put me back to work the last week of July. And I know, I know, I only work two days. But still, I was really planning on not working at all for a while, and my heart is a little sad that I have to start back so soon.
So, my plan of action: I am going to talk to the manager, and make sure he knows that I would like to take more time, if it's ok with him. Just to verify that my intentions were not lost in translation- and if that doesn't change anything, I am going to ask if when I come back, I come back one day at first, and not a whole 8 hour day. That's my prayer request- I would like more time, and if I can't have it, then if I could work even less. And that I not come across as needy or begging- but that this is important to me. I just pray that God paves the way, and that I don't cry in front of my bosses.

Danissa was two weeks when my boss called me back (and I worked 5 days a week!). It's horrible! I hope you get the time your wanting and everything works out! And if you need a "daycare" let me know! Maybe you work the days I have off!
We'll be praying that it all works out. Isaac could always come to my house and maybe you could take a quick break and feed him or something. Just know that you've got lots of options if you don't get everything squared away. Love you!!!
I will be praying for you Denaye! That your boss' heart will be soft when you go to speak to him --if not right away that God will move in another way!
Oh, Naye...I'll be praying for you! I'm sure everything will work out *hugs* Love and miss you!
