This morning, the girls were watching a Dinosaur Train while I put away the dishes. I try to listen carefully to what is said on the show, because it is NOT a Christian or Creationist show... But they love it, so we try to teach along with what the show says, and explain how because we believe God created the world... you get the picture.
Anyway, back to this morning... I hear them talking about the "first dinosaur" and "where dinosaurs came from," so I thought I would give the girls a pop quiz.
Me: Girls, where did dinosaurs come from?
Melia: God. But dinosaurs don't know that.
:-) My heart was tickled!

Random Ridiculousness
I dropped the phone in a bowl of JELLO. Luckily, I hadn't actually answered it yet-- but it was ringing :-)
Tonight after baths and dinner, Melia smeared toothpaste in Kiera's hair. On purpose, because it was somehow funny. I was trying to work on my Joel final... Note to self: It's my fault too. I know better.
But that didn't stop me from telling her what a bad decision that was.
And that's all for today because I am exhausted. I did get a massage today though. It was painful. I have issues.
Oh yea, and I did get accepted to that mystery shopping site. But by the time I did, the only nights left for dinners out were when I'm working anyway. Oh well- I'll keep you updated on if I do find some that I can do.
Goodnight!

Surprising...
I signed up with one of those "mystery shoppers" sites, but then wasn't willing to pay the extra bucks yet to be a "gold" member or whatever you have to do to actually apply to do the jobs. But this morning I received an email from someone who got my name from the original one and actually has shops in this area. I replied with my interest... we'll see where it goes from here.
Anybody up for a free lunch? ;-)

Kiera's Concern
On our way home tonight from Grandma Nae's and Papa Randy's house... Kiera pipes up from her seat:
"Mommy! We need make sure GamaNae put Cooper an' Sophie in der doghouse so da raccoons don't eat 'em!"
(the raccoons like to get the chickens if they aren't locked up before dark... Cooper and Sophie are their two new German Shepherd puppies :-)

Praise during trial
Thank you God, for the blessing of busy-ness getting the rental ready to go as fast as possible, and renters ready to move in right now!

Which one?
Melia: Which park are we going to?
Me: Walla Walla Park.
Kiera: Chihuahua park?
Melia: No, wawa wawa park.
:-) Fun laughs.

Her Little Mind is Working Working
Last week, Woot had a Woot-off. And we can't let a woot-off go by without buying something :-)
We ended up with some cheap little mp3 players- just back-ups, really.
They arrived this morning and Gabe was looking at them. He said "They're basically just like Shuffles." (Shuffles are little Ipods.) And here we go:
Kiera: Those not like shuffles.
Me: Yes, they are.
Kiera: No them not. Shuffles way bigger.
Gabe: What are you talking about?
Kiera: Shuffles thiiisss big (spreads arms wide). Shuffles throw dirt!
(Get it? Shuffles? Shovels? ;-)

In my inbox
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days..."
Deuteronomy 30: 19-20a
He gives us the choice. It's all up to us.

So Glad
I am SOOO thankful I can stay home today!! We had such a crazy week- I was completely braindead by Thursday, even though we'd only made it through one event! Wednesday was Kiera's birthday party, Saturday included Isabel's first birthday party, and Andrea's (and Jayden's!) baby shower here at our house, then Sunday contained church with a quick dash up to Sarah and Shea's bridal shower! WHEW!
I am also thankful that all our kids made it through each event well, especially since Isaac is teething and doing a fantastic job of soaking everyone who holds him! :-) We did have to run him to the dr. this morning for a follow up appointment to his ear infection he had a few weeks ago. Dr A said his ears look great, which was a relief to me knowing that he's had some extra congestion the last few days due to the teeth, and the abundant mucous is what provided the fuel for those nasty little bacteria to grow in his ear last time!
We did have an unexpected surprise this morning... ants -yuck. Because of the busy-ness of the weekend, I didn't have time to scour the house looking for all those little misplaced items which just happen during parties (empty punch cups, candy wrappers) so the ants found them first! We spent the morning vaccuming and washing everything down and spraying outside Ziva's door. Hopefully the problem is taken care of!
Now, the girls are painting, Isaac is sleeping, and I am force-feeding the laundry through :-) And it's pouring sideways rain outside! Crazy weather!
