I apparently forgot to include that word when I was describing how I felt about reading the books as an adult, but if I were to sum it up in one thought? This would be the one I'd choose.

Rough Night
Poor Kiera had a rough night.
First, she climbed up on the table when I was waking Melia up for dinner (they are fighting colds and sleeping at random times), and she grabbed a steak knife which gave her a nice slice right on the top of her thumb. Then during dinner, she kept saying that the pointer on her other hand was hurting too... but we didn't see any cuts, so think she must have bit herself. She also bit her lip during the meal. After dinner we went outside for a quick run around, and Melia whacked Kiera in the face with the swing, giving her a bloody fat lip.
We called it quits after that and sat down with some popcorn to watch Dirty Jobs :-)

Great Shopping Day!
Gabe was so sweet this morning to stay home with the girls and allow me a couple of shopping hours to myself. I asked him because I knew there were some really good deals out there, but I needed to be able to think to make it work the best. And work it did! It was even better because I was able to pray before I left home-- I normally intend to do this, but so often am distracted by the two little voices in the back seat.
My first stop was Albertsons. I knew they had a great deal going on where if you buy 10 GM cereals/products for $20, then you got another $10 off. And I had coupons for all! Total I bought 2 Golden Grahams, 1 Kix, 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 2 Fruity Cheerios, 2 boxes Nature Valley granola bars, and 2 boxes PopSecret Popcorn for $5.20.
Also, when I walk in the door, I normally scan the papers they post because I do not get them in the mail. I spotted a 3/$9 or B3G1 free for CoffeeMate creamer-- Because I didn't understand it, I asked the cashier to ring up my creamers seperate so I could see what deal it did. Turns out the paper was from last week, but they needed to honor it (their words) so instead of making it work 3/$9, they just gave me 3 for the price of 2, which was $7.58!!! Thank you Lord!
Then I went to Walgreens to try the P&G Register Rewards. (see this weekends ads for Walgreens) I ended up with 2 Magic Erasers, 2 bottles Cascade dishwasher gel (.25/1 cpn), 2 Crest Pro-health toothpastes (using $3/2 ES coupon) and three Charmin Easywipes (cpn $1.99 in -ad) and a box of To-Go ice tea pouches for a total of $20.40-- and I received back $20 in RR! Yeah!
Then I stopped at Fred Meyer because I forgot to grab salsa at Albie's....and remembered they had chicken breasts for $1.79/lb... so I grabbed two bags of that and also a Purex laundry soap because I had one more $1/1 cpn, and they were on sale for $2.50 :-)
Plus! I stopped to get apples from the Stemilt store (because they are the cheapest there!) and they were having a moving sale -- all apples were $.69/lb!
Thank you Lord, for your blessings. You stretched my dollars today farther than I had even hoped.

You know, I had to tell someone the other day (an adult) that she just had to read the Chronicles of Narnia. She never had. I read them as a child, but when I read them again a few years ago, it was a completely different experience. I was bawling through the end book-- and gained a whole new respect for the series. It is one that entertains and delights children, and yet challenges an adult to their faith in God's end game. I loved it. I can't wait for the girls to be old enough for me to read it to them!

Tomorrow I get to take my brand new NKJV Study Bible to church! I am so excited to start using it! I have been using my study NIV one, but I really wanted to get back to KJV, except that I have a hard time understanding it....
Long story short, I asked for one for Valentine's Day, Gabe got me one. He told me how much it was and I almost choked. No. I did choke. I took it back, and we've been looking for a better deal. I received a Crossings Book Club flyer in the mail, and with membership I got a Free leather bound Nelson NKJV Study Bible! How much of a blessing is that! Thank you Lord! (And I only have to buy three more books at their regular (discounted) price! :-)

Thank you thank you thank you Lord!!!
Guess what miracles God provided tonight!???!!!
I just got home from playing my first/our third church league softball game tonight! And I did not get hit (hard), I played catcher the whole game- throwing without pain, I did pretty ok hitting, and I scored without pulling my quad!
I played without getting injured! To clarify-- definitely a miracle, considering how out-of-shape I am, and my usually terrible shoulders. (impingement - sp? for those of you wondering)

Wanted: Liquid Coffee Creamer Recipe
So, Gabe and I are addicted to CoffeeMate liquid creamer. He loves Irish Cream, I love Coconut Cream. But the prices just keep going up and up. I used to only buy it if I could get it at $2.50/32oz. Now I am lucky if I can find it for $3. Regular prices around here? $4+
I just know someone out there knows how to make a yummy, lowfat flavored coffee creamer. I am looking for you!
