I hate my lack of faith. Or my "logical mindedness." Or my tendency to really want to look at something from every angle. I guess that's why "Faith" isn't necessarily one of my gifts.
Today I had one of the most powerful experiences with God ever. And once it was over, I started doubting. Does anyone else do this?
During church we were praying, mostly for ourselves to realize just how much we need Him every day, in every thing. Then praying for certain situations in our lives that we are concerned about, along with a host of other things. I prayed for one specific thing in my life. One.
Later in the service, Pastor Doug moved us into a different book to exemplify something he was teaching. He read verses 13 and 14, then went back to the original book. I read on.
Verse 15 spoke SO strongly to me I spent the rest of the next two hours on the verge of tears, holding it in so that people wouldn't think I was crazy. It spoke directly to my heart about what I had prayed about.
Later, when I thought about what the verse actually said, I wondered. It doesn't say what it said to me, specifically. It is rather vague actually. And I doubted.
But this is why the Word is Living and Active, right? It has the ability to speak directly to the Spirit and our spirits, especially in answer to prayer.
So, in the end, I am asking and praying for validation. I want to know that I know that what the Word said to me today was real. This is why I am being so vague as well. I don't want to lead anyone anywhere to validate anything that isn't from my Father. If and when this results in anything, I will share. :-) Thanks for praying for me, those of you who do so well. :-) I need it so much!

WOW...that is pretty cool...and I think you hit the nail on the head when you wrote about the word being alive...and speaking to you directly. I love your perspectives on things and the way you look at life...you find it so easy to see God in every aspect of every little blessing. I aspire to be like you.

I know what this feels like I had the biggest experiance not this week but last week at church. I want to talk with you about it because I keep doubting as well. It was so big and God was talking to ME. I pray about it everyday and never let go of the feeling that I had at that moment. Its really hard but also very important. I think Faith is a main gift I have. Maybe we can help eachother? Come over anytime k.

One of the main things that happens to me when God is speaking directly to my heart is break out in joyful tears... And the reason I know it is from God is that it is so pure, truthful, and it is staying along the word of God. I call these true God moments.. The really happened to me a lot when I was in YWAM. Especially praying over friends that are in deep deep pain from the past... And those tears of true heart felt love and wanting to help..praying so hard to the point of not knowing what to say anymore.. that was when God gave me the gift of tounges!!! So there is another reason why I know its from God. ":) Cherish those moments of pure revelation that God has spoken directly to your heart and write them down in a prayer journal. So when you start doughting yourself, You can go back and read that you prayed about and how God answered you. It will give you peace in your heart. :) Very exciting!!!!!!! Love you!!
